If someone advertises something at $600 that is worth $3000, and they are not handicapped in anyway, what is the problem with taking the deal...
Some people value things differently...to this guy, his 85 Saab 900T was worth $600....what did he base this estimate on? I dont know...
See I have the right to make an informed decision on what I pay for, and accept on a settlement...
I happen to find VERY good deals on saabs, because I am constantly looking. I am always prepared for a deal...I do not chew people down, I pay asking price...he asked $600 I paid $600....I did not take advantage of him...
The last car I bought was a 91 9000T. 185k, no rust, full maintenance history, and in EXCELLENT condition. I paid the asking price which was significantly less than what they usually go for...
When the insurance company comes up with a settlement, it is based on REPLACEMENT VALUE, NOT what you bought it for. And typically Saabs demand a higher monetary amount, thus requiring the insurance company to compensate you in a just way.
Main point of my post was to let people know they have rights, and do not have to simply take what they are offered. Like I said, I do not cause the accidents, but when other people hit my vehicles, damaging my property, I expect to be compensated in a fair manner. And I expect to be able to go out and purchase a comparable vehicle.
