(Disclaimer - I work for TMo)

To add to that, I have nothing to do with marketing, sales, etc. I run the data centers, but I am also a subscriber. Let me answer some of the questions here->

TMo pre-paid is indeed minute by minute. My daughter has the pre-pay plan because I do not want to pre-pay for a teenager. This works well as it's ten cents a minute, no surprises.

Radio system - not true. They don't completely use the same system. TMo recently expanded it's coverage footprint by implementing "850 roaming" which means using the 850MGHz freq in vast areas of the country mostly using Western Wireless towers and backhaul. Pre-pay does not get the benefit of this footprint (sometimes, not always) so if the PCC (personal coverage check) says that an area is 850, generally pre-pay does not work.

Customer Care - Competitors can't come close to how TMo does this. It's 24/7 and the folks there really care about the customer.

Overall - pre-pay works for specific markets and subscribers. If you want the whole shooting match, get a regular account. If you want a phone that works at home, work, on the commute and you don't travel less traveled roads, it's fine. I don't think that you can find a better overall package in pre-pay than TMo at ten cents a minute (for 1000 minutes).

The Company - I have worked there since it was VoiceStream and it has always been a good place to work. Going on 6 years now and that is a record since I left the Marines after 14 years.

I would be more than happy to answer specific questions.

Scott
