there really isn't much room for error. Much credit to a clean track and stability of the car at such high speed. I'm sure they swept the track a couple of times before the test and a couple of trial runs before that.
At 253MPH, it's 371 ft/s, 37ft in 0.1s or 3.7ft in 0.01s !! There was very small room for error, if he had turned the wheel just slightly, he would have hit the retaining fences/wall in no time flat.
Oh, what was the fuel burn rate at 253MPH again ?
You know what, I think many here would buy the car for $1.5 million without blinking (i.e. if given the money) instead of that a house by the beach.
