The NCEES Record application requests the same employment history as the NC form but seeks much more detail and verification. The challenge for me is two fold: 1) I never maintained a CV through my career, actually I had never even heard of this type of data until recently (I heartily recommend that all young engineers diligently maintain a CV as you never know when it will be useful or necessary); and 2) most of the PE's who could attest to the work I performed in the early stages of my career are either deceased, retired to parts unknown, or senile with age.
My recent work experience, which can be easily verified, is primarily Engineeirng Management and not innovative design.
Do the individual States require their own application in addition to the completed NCEES Record? Or does this national database information replace the individual State forms? I saw that NCEES requires a $150 fee with the record application which will be waived if the Record is being submitted in response to a request for comity. I am still a little unclear how this works. I also heard form a former co-worker that he stopped his comity request with Texas after learing they required $750, he was intending to apply for "giggles and grins" and not because of a job which required it.
