How many slide rules do you still own? I have my circular slide rule from High School and a traditional style slide rule I recently acquired for nostalgia reasons.
Most young engineers get a glazed look to their eyes when I explain how we multipled and divided numbers by adding/subtracting logorithms via our slide rules. They also have no concept of "degrees of precision" when presenting calculator/computer generated results with 8 digits beyond the decimal point when their most accurate input value only had two decimal points.
