I would also agree to avoid I-4. It's been three years since I've lived down there, but I'm sure they haven't finished re-construction yet. After all, Florida's still the south. I-10 to I-75 is a much better option than I-4.

I went to school down there (Gainesville) and I remember reading an article in the school newspaper in the early 90's that Waldo generates enough money from traffic enforcement that it covers 1400% of the town budget. It's pretty hard not to speed in that town as it's a 55, come around a corner and it's a 25 mph zone.

Starke's not as bad, but it does have lots of cops since it's the states high security state prison and home to Ole Sparky. If you take this drive be sure to wave at the ghosts of Ted Bundy and Danny Rolling for me as you drive through.
