Go the B&B route. The most pleasant lodging I've ever had on a vacation, bar none, was a B&B trip we took in 2002 or so. We lived in Cleveland and took our 1994 C900TC CE to: Toronto, Montreal, Vermont, Bar Harbor, Portland, then home. All B&B's. The pace of life, wonderful food, and great conversations really set a tone for a relaxing vacation. I do a LOT of business travel, so normal hotels are a bore to me now. Not much impresses me as they're all basically the same.
In Bar Harbor we stayed West of Eden B&B. It's actually in Seal Cove, off the beaten path a little. We chose it because it's a vegetarian B&B. Very nice house, great hosts, and yummy food. The veg part may not be what you're looking for, but I highly recommend finding a B&B. Tell them it's your honeymoon and I'm sure they'll take care of you, too!
