I have had the pleasure to ride (2-up w/ my dad) on the back of an R1100RS ('94). Those are some of my favorites. I'd like to ride that and a K75S to see the difference in how big they feel. I'm a little hesitant to get an 1100, but I understand that the K75's aren't exactly "little". (They say they have to cover me in mud, and fill my pockets with lead-shot before the scales will register me... I have to run around in the shower to get wet... all those skinny jokes apply to me. I just want to make sure I can handle the bike.)
The tele/paralever is very cool. From the point of view of a mechanical engineer (my B.S.), I appreciate things like that a lot. When new and creative ways of doing things are implemented, yielding performance improvements, I just love it.
The new F800ST looks great. It's just a little out of my price range.
You ride an R-RT, right? (1150?)
Thanks for your input. Take care now.
