for road warranties...no questions asked for the most part.
I've bought about 1 tire (dunlop SP9000) from them...and had warranted about 7 tires since 2000 on our Audi A6. The first tire I bought was mine...blowout at 80 on the PA turnpike (no the TP didn't pay despite claims) and when I bought the tire over the phone they asked if I wanted a warranty on all the tires on the car!! $20 each at the time so I bought the new tire (210 or so) plus $80 for four tire warranties and motored on.
Over the years my wife has flatted tires, bent wheels (so far no insurance covers bent wheels although I did get wheel/tire insurance for my BMW M3 when I bought it...good for 4 years 50K and I'm about out of that...no bent wheels or flats yet) and destroyed like 7 tires. Only time I got questioned was when we bought the car off lease and it required two new tires (blistered) to pass MD inspection. That time they required me to UPS the old tires in...I bought two new tires from them, UPS'd the old ones in, and they credited my AMex for the cost of the new tires within two weeks. PS...doggone Dunlop SP9000 tires seem to blister a LOT!
So when you replace your tire you might consider DTD if they carry your tire. One more thing...DTD doesn't prorate your tires when they fail...a blowout with 3/32 left gets you a new tire!!! Tire Rack pro rates the tread wear.
