The trim on the door and the trim on the side glass panel separating shower from tub appear to be easy wnough to accomplish. Either new pieces from the unit manufacturer, or new pieces froma glass shop as recommended.
The corner post, which is nearly 3-inches square, may be a different matter. Best case scenario is that a hidden structural post is either wrapped with the gold plated trim, or that the post is easily removed for replacement/repair. My fear is that the gold plated metal is the structural component and that it is so integral to the structure of the tub/shower combo that it cannot be removed without removing the entire tub!
Time will tell. First I have to get an offer of employment, and the offer must be adequate to justify the job change & relocation, and the house must still be available at a price we can afford. The realtor we are working with, whom we have known for more than three years and fully trust, says we are so over qualified financially for this price point that we shouldn't be concerned. But we were "house poor" early in our marriage (living off beanie-weenines to afford the mortgage payment) and don't want to live thru that again.
