Been intriqued by those for years, but my wife won't allow another coffee contraption (Gaggia Classic - aluminum heating element...) on the countertop. Sticking with espresso and french press for now. Do you have a grinder? Who's coffee? Sweet Marias is great (if you're a roaster), but my standbys are Intelligensia, Metropolis (both Chicago) and Paradise Roasters (Minneapolis).
Speaking of coffee and Coffeegeek, have you heard of the Clover machine? It's a super fancy french press. It starts at $10K(!), but my not-so-local coffee shop has one and it's the absolute best cup I've ever had. Seek one out if you can.
Enjoy!
