While not a religious symbol, the Easter Bunny is a pagan symbol of fertility and Easter originally competed with the Spring Equinox. The date of Easter moves in accordance with the lunar calendar and is tied to the equinox. Again, early Christians needed to compete with pagans for mindshare at the big holidays. (the word "holiday" is a truncation of "holy day").
As for Christmas, it is the spirit of the season that is important, not which holiday one celebrates. There's no reason everyone can't just have fun an celebrate in their own way. This political correctness stuff is really tiresome. The people who worry about it and who insist on neutrality are in serious need of a life.
