Saab has a unique advantage in regard to class actions. They simply don't sell enough cars. As an example I read on the BB that 500 9-5s per month are being sold now. If only 2% are used heavily then the class is down to a max of 10 vehicles more month. Take out leases, owners that don't care, etc. and you get a very small number of possible class members. To me this is actually a fault in the law so that small classes get less protection than larger classes.

Of course, there are other options other than a class action.

You have heard about tire wear, the need for frequent rotation, shims, short shock life, etc. All of these are symptoms of the same underlying problem. Saab knows of a problem, but is trying to avoid dealing with it just like Saab did with the DIC.
