Are you looking for an alternative jack for on-the-road tire changes, or for working on the car?
For on-the road, you'd need a source of air pressure. So now you're carrying a 40 pound air jack and a who-knows-what size compressor. When I've carried a spare jack in the car, I've always gotten a small hydraulic bottle jack. They take up less space than a regular jack. The only problem is they can only get so small, and have limited lift range (distance).
If you're looking for a shop jack, I would go with a standard floor jack. That air jack you're looking at has less than a 11 inch range - 6.5 to 17.25. I'd check that 6.5 inch measure to see if it'll fit under the car. Depending on the car, a lift of 17.25 max may not get the front wheels off the ground if you're using a main lifing point. And they're $150. For about $75 you can get a really nice floor jack that'll go 5 inches to 20 inches (Sears, etc.). Having 'run out of jack' in the past, a big swing is nice. The Costco ones are in the $90- $100 range. And I wouldn't get a floor jack with more capability than you need - yes, a beefy jack is nice, but they get heavy fast.
Both a hydraulic jack and an air jack can blow pressure, but somehow I'm more comfortable with liquid. It makes no sense, but there it is. And with all jacks, air or hydraulic, ALWAYS use jack stands.
I'd find a nice rolling floor jack on sale. You never know when you'll need to jack something up and you're not next to the compressor. And floor jacks can go much lower, and have a bigger swing.
