This really looks great.......but...

OBSERVATIONS:

1. The 1.8T capacity device has a maximum lift height of 17". The maximum lift height for the 2.2T capacity model is only 12". 17" is comparable to many 2T hydraulc floor jacks (I have two).

2. The minimum height is 6.5" for the 1.8T model. This is high; the minimum height of my two hydraulic floor jacks is 3.5"-4". My 2007 9-5 Aero requires 6.0" clearance to get the jack under the car at the side lifting points. The front and rear center lifting points require 7.5" and 10.5" respectively. Hence this device would be limited to only the front and rear center lifting points.

The 2.2T model has slightly less minimum height....5.75". This would work except that the maximum height is only 12", not really adequate.

3. IMHO...I would not get under the car without jack stands, while using this device or any hydraulic floor jack. I had a hydralic jack collapse while I was under the car; the jack stand made it a non-event versus a bad day.

CONCLUSION:

This device, specifically the 1.8T model, has some appeal. However, its' utility/flexibility is limited. Not recommended....IMHO.

I would consider a quality hydraulic floor jack; there are many available with low minimum heights and superior maximum heights....and they come with wheels and do not require a compressor.

Alternatively, do a Google on "automotive air jack". There appears to be a number of companies offering this type of product.
