Depending on the amount of drinking/cooking water that you use, you might consider a reverse osmosis unit. I'm on a well with high iron, hardness and ph. Even after treating, the taste is so-so. I put in an RO unit to feed up to kitchen sink. I installed it so cost was less than $200. Replace the sediment filters every 3-4 months and the charcoal filter every 6-8. Use cheap filters from Menards. Water tastes the same as bottled water.
