I've had 4 9000's but currently drive an NG900SE 5 speed. The 9000's are getting really hard to find while 900/9-3's are plentiful. I liked my 9k's, but they always felt big, heavy and a little ponderuous when pushed hard into tight corners. The 900/9-3's feel light, frisky, and a lot more like a C900. My NG has been the most reliable/cheap to own Saab I've had. It's very easy to work on and what few issues they have are well known and easily dealt with. It doesn't leak a drop of oil at 140K and only uses half a quart every 3K. The latest 9-3 versions are a real deal pricewise and the best of the lot--everything was well sorted out by that time. Unlike most Saabs the automatic is the most bullet proof choice (Japanese made), the 5 speeds tend to have weak syncros in 3rd--but it's not a big deal. My next car will probably be a 9-5 or an OG 9-3 convertible.
