Well, I don't want to start a war here, but I for one am unwilling to lift a finger to "save the planet" as I do not believe it needs saving. I'm not a Warmist and don't buy the crisis-mongering of environmentalists which has been going on in one form or another for decades. I won't consider purchase of a hybrid car, and for that matter I am not even willing to trade my household incandescent lamps for mercury-laden CFLs or whatever else is being hawked as "green" this week. When shopping I happily use disposable plastic bags and in general "the environment" is not even on the radar when making purchase decisions.
Having said that, I certainly enjoy the efficiency and performance of my Saab and have no plans to trade it for a gas-guzzling SUV any time in the forseeable future.
