I agree that change is normal, but when you say, "To think that humans can change the global weather is myopic at best." is a bit absurd to me. That's like saying that a few megatons of nuclear weapons can't affect the earth's climate. If you think about the billions of people and machines have emitted emissions every day for centuries and consider that our earth's atmosphere is not infinite, then it's very reasonable to think that we have an impact on the atmosphere.
All you need to know is that cleaner and more efficient is better and we only have one planet/atmosphere to work with. Why risk it more than we have to?
