Stay away ? Up to a point. There are folks out there that are able to repair a damaged vehicle and put it back to factory specs ! ! However, if a vehicle has been in a flood, STAY AWAY. I have rebuilt accident damaged vehicles and driven them for years without any more problems than a new car off the dealer lot. If you have a mechanic you can trust, they can inspect the car and tell you if it is a "buy" or not. Just personal opinons and experience. On another side of the coin, what about a "restored vehicle" that has had extensive rust repair ? Do people shy away from them ?
