O/T I made it! 100 Mile Tahoe Ride Posted by Caarma [Email] (#592) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Caarma) on Tue, 3 Jun 2008 00:27:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Well, thanks for all the advice from fellow Saabnetters. It did help. I rode without clipless pedals, pedaled very conservatively during the first half to make sure I had energy at the end. I felt a little lethargic around mile 65, but then I got a second wind around mile 75 and felt like I could have ridden another 20 at the end. I hope to do more century rides or at least 50 or 60 milers this year.
Overall, it was a great experience and I'm glad I did it, especially since it was for a great cause.
I'm going to write a full rundown of my experience on my blog within the next couple of days but I just wanted to thank you and let you know that I finished in one piece.
