Their marketing literature extols the "green" and economic virtues of replacing your oxygen sensor(s); their cost justification model "Assumes miles/gallon improvement of 10% (pre OBDII vehicles)." - a direct quote from their website.
They also proclaim: "Save up to 10% a year in gasoline cost. Bosch invented the automotive oxygen sensor and is the number one choice of vehicle manufacturers around the world. Check/replace your oxygen sensor with every tune-up to improve vehicle performance and reduce harmful exhaust emission."
My 1983 900S (about to be retired) still has its original oxygen sensor - so I guess that I wan't really missing anything. Meanwhile my 1996 Audi A4 has needed all FOUR Bosch sensors replaced due to failed heater circuits.
