Look at how Russia is playing TNK-BP for a fool. They've played other corporations.

IMHO, until they get the legal system squared away in Russia, there's no good that can come for any MAJOR company investing in Russia. If you're in the hundreds of millions of dollars, that attracts the wrong eyes who will take it from you. Smaller companies, not so much a problem now as the so-called Mafia goes for the big stuff. Of course, there are exceptions to everything.

Looking at the sheer number of Russian lawsuits filed in the U.K. which the British courts are hearing tells a lot.
