I first saw this jack some months ago but the $300 price tag was kinda steep. Looked at it again online and noticed it was down to $200. I figured what the heck, give it a try. What I like was that you can jack the car and set the stands at the same point on the car. My old floor jack couldn't get the rear wheels off the ground from the tow hook jack point. Anyway, my first impressons are
1. Very heavy, dude. I mean 121 lbs shipping wt.
2. Seams to work. I haven't actually taken the wheels off with it but it will fit under the cars jack point, lift the car and leave the stand behind.
3. I still want to evaluate the safety aspect of the stands, before I crawl under the car. Are they really safety stands?
4. The jack and the stands seem to have wide base which is good on my asphalt driveway.
The sears web site hints at some controversy surrounding the jack. I suppose it's possible this jack is a close out of some kind. Or a second generation will be coming out, I don't know. Check out the customer comments section.
