This is a real different boats for different folks thing.
Mileage-wise, I'm ideal for leasing: 12-13K miles a year. But being a tightwad, I buy used and keep cars a long time. I'm self-employed, so I wind up writing off about half of it (~50% biz use) so this works for me. And for me, it's also what else I can do with the money.
OTOH, if you don't want to think about anything beyond routine maintenance, then leasing is pretty sweet. It's nice to never think about that stuff and have a cool ride. That's definitely worth something--how much is up to you. And when you want a unique new car like the Turbo-X, it can be a real good option.
I know people who have always had lease cars but are now shifting to buying, or buying their lease car. Many have kids in college so they are watching how big the monthly expenses are.
But I DO like the Turbo-X.....
