What is the point of releasing the clutch to put it in neutral then depressing it to put it in gear? Aren't you just trying to engage the clutch when the speed is just right? So in that case, as you are changing gears could you not just wait a couple of seconds until the engine slows down and then engage the clutch when the engine speed has slowed down enough? I haven't done it much, I guess you get used to it...but it just seems rather impractical to double clutch. (I want to drive whatever way is best for the clutch, so if double clutching is good and can give me better "performance" then I'll do it! ) Especially going from first to second, it seems like I'm wasting time pressing the clutch twice. Takes practice I guess? Bender
