Revealing Ride and Drive weekend

I'm visiting my son in St Paul this weeekend. I rented a Nissan Vesra for the trip and have to say I'm amazed at what constitutes a basic buzz bomber these days. It's roomier thn my NG900, quiet, comfortale, descent seats, and we got 32 mpg. I drove an '06 Saab 9-5 w/32K that the dealership where my son works had in stock. Nice car but it felt a little plasticy. In fact I think my NG seems to be made of better materials. I'd driven the 9-5 back when they first came out and didn't get that impression so I'm guessing they're been cutting back. I also got to drive an '06 BMW 330 Xi that my son had for the weekend. Very nice, but at over $30K there's no way I could afford to buy it used. I rode in my son's Acura MDX--what a beauiful vehicle--fast, great handling unbeleivable quality. Finally I drove a new Honda Accord EX - both V6 & 4 cylinder. The 4 is nice but a bit thrashy sounding when driven hard. The V6 is really amazing--there may be some subtlies you might notice later but I think it's every bit as nice of a car as the BMW. I can lease the V6 Accord for about the same payment as buying the 9-5--hmmmm.
