You could easily do Innsbruk and Salzburg in a day if you are quick and have overnight to travel back to wherever you are going. Other than scenery, Salzburg is more interesting and has more stuff to do, at least without a car. In Munich you could spend a whole day just in the Deutsches Museum. Then you'll understand why the Germans make BMWs and we American make the junk we turn out. Compare that museum to any science center we have. BMW museum was being redone when I was there, but should have fully reopened by now. The temporary one was a little disappointing. Enjoy the hot pretzels...their great just about everywhere in that region.
Keep in mind any festivals/events because that could slow things down due there are crowds.
