Since regular air is 78% nitrogen, I seriously doubt running 100% N makes a significant difference on a road car. It probably does in race cars, airplanes and other uses where the tires are very highly stressed, but for one's daily driver I don't see how it makes much difference.
People claim you don't have to add air as often, but how difficult is it to add a couple pounds of air to a tire? After all, you're checking the pressure anyway. I find I only have to add air 4 or 5 times a year anwyay, so there's marginal benefit to me. As for running cooler, that may be true, but how much cooler and does it matter? Supposedly 100% N contains no moisture (unlike regular air) and this is some kind of benefit, but in my opinion it's more imagined than real. I've even heard claims that nitrogen improves fuel mileage, which is really a stretch.
An old friend who is a major motorhead and who frequently tracks his highly modified Mitsubishi EVO, says nitrogen makes a difference (link to his blog below) but I still question the value. He claims to be seeing longer tread life and no morning flat spots, but to me it's just a scam to separate people from their money.
