Silicone brake fluid has significant compatibility issues with many systems. If your braking system is compatible with Silicone brake fluid, then Silicone based fluid will be the normal, specified fluid. If your braking system is not compatible with Silicone, that will be specified as not DOT5 compatible.
Bottom line - if you car wasn't designed for DOT5 Silicone fluid, DON'T USE IT. It can destroy components. If your car was designed for DOT5, then DON'T USE anything else but DOT5.
