I like saabs for fun performance, good gas milage, and I love the hatch--I find it very convienent. There have been a few cars I've considered. In the US, I like the new Volvo hatch back. Seems like a good low price point that I think would appeal to a lot of people who want a hatch. I've driven an old 850 and boy was it like driving a tank! But I think volvo has changed their performance recently, so I would consider that.
There was talk of Alfa coming back to the US. I got excited about this because I loved those cars when I was younger (purely because I thought they were cute). They have two models, the GT and the Brera that I think I would look at. I don't know how they would be priced in the US, and I had issues trying to convert their prices to US dollars. Who knows if they ever come back, but that and maintenance issues aside, I'd love to test drive them!
