Town Fair Tire Fiasco DONE Posted by B Millar [Email] (#1109) [Profile/Gallery] (more from B Millar) on Tue, 3 Mar 2009 10:28:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just got home from Town Fair Tire after having them swap on my four newly refinished rims. They definitely are a little glossier than the stock finish, but they look a million times better than the plastic-looking cheap-o temporary rims I had, and much better than when they were scratched up. I left my decent camera at school so an iPhone picture will have to suffice for now.
While I was waiting (for one and a half freaking hours) I was thinking about how professionally I was being treated by the new manager, a great guy named Ryan, and debating writing a letter on his behalf to corporate or the regional manager giving him a thumbs up. But then when they were finally finished I went to the service desk to sign the paperwork that I would come back for the 25 mile bolt retorque the manager wasn't there so the kid that probably isn't much older than me, probably early 20's started saying how he was impressed at how I actually got them to refinish them, which I initially took as a compliment to my persistence, so I thanked him. But then the little sh*t started going on about how they only did it to make me happy and the general consensus among the staff was that they still had nothing to do with the damage done to my rims. I just stopped talking gave him a nasty look (I was going to kick him in the face), signed my name and just left. I will most likely go back to Town Fair to have them swap on my summer tires (for free) but then I AM DONE WITH TOWN FAIR TIRE FOREVER!!! I will find a used set of rims over the summer to put my snows on and from then on I'll do all the work.
