Scandanavian Design. Sensible. Stylish. Well thought out.
The problem with GM running Saab is that they only picked up on the styling features. They tried to do the Saab lines with a purely American approach, and that failed miserably. The problem with the whole auto industry is that designers come from only one or two schools, and are far too entrenched in a few design styles. Best thing they could do is to move the design part back to Sweden.
