eric, if your washer has the belts (older maytags) the pump is on the front right side, check the hose clamp, it might be loose and water leaks out when it's on rinse/spin mode. tighten or replace the clamp or the hose if it's leaking. disconnect the washer and lay flat on it's back so you can see the pump. you could tilt it back but make sure it's supported safely.
