and they are STILL gonna be comparatively pricey. The indies know the owners of these cars will pay more because the dealers have trained them to expect costs to be high. So indies charge a bit less than the dealer and everyone goes away happy. But all the "super premium" cars, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc., have high parts and service costs because the people who buy them have the ability to pay. And some models are not necessarily designed for easy servicing, adding to labor costs. For example, a BMW dealer tech warned my Bimmer-addicted friend away from a Z4 M-series because the care and feeding costs were so high.
Not that Saabs are be any means perfect in terms of parts or labor costs, but Saabs seem more in line with other upper-mid-range cars, although, being a Euro brand, Saabs are more maintenance intensive than a Japanese make.
