I've always liked OnStar.. I paid for the directions and connections and raved about it. I go to a lot of odd places for my work and for the directions alone, I found it worthy of the write-off price. Now, as OnStar refuses to give its employees normal internet, and personal smart phones grow more amazing, I'm kind of over OnStar. I can key into my phone at a red light directions requests and get constantly updated nav services (my $40k 9-5 doesn't do that -and even a Chevy Cobalt can) while I'm still waiting for the service advisors to find an address. The phones are just so good now, I can't really justify the extra money a year. It would be amazing if something horrible happened (drove off a cliff or hit by a semi) and have OnStar save my life.. but that's the only real reason to keep it for me. I understand your challenging decision.
