Fuel economy challenge

One of the big appeals of Saabs is the combination of performance and fuel economy. While I think the performance part of the equation is why most of us buy them, I thought it might be interesting to see what kind of mileage could be gotten with a Saab if one really pulled out all of the stops.
A few ground rules: 1.Forget trip computer readings, the only acceptable measurement is the actual gallons used divided into the actual miles traveled. 2. The duration has to be at least one tank full--no coasting 20 miles down a mountain road and filling up. 3. While the idea is to see what stock Saabs can do, if you make modifications you have to disclose it. 4. What you do has to be street legal and reasonably safe-- no driving down the highway at 20 mph (although you could do that on back roads I suppose). 5. Each Saab model is a considered a seperate category, also divided by autos verses sticks, turbos verses non verses 6 cylinders, etc. The winners will get...nothing other the admiration of those on this board--unless Scott wants to up the ante with a teeshirt of something. Any takers?
