I used to drive from Worcester to Boston every day, so I picked up the FastPass several years ago. I was very leary of letting the state have access to my bank account, so I do the prepaid option.

The main goals of the system are not to make money for the state, but to lower costs of toll attendants, and to try and cut down on the heavy line of cars at the toll plazas during rush hours.

I like the fact you can just breeze through and don't have to fiddle with money when you drive, but it seems the system is always down whenever you go to the window to try and put money in, and the offices are rather inconvenient. I suppose if it is free, and you don't mind giving them your credit card number, it may be worth it, though.
