Much less clogged and a lot more scenic. Interstate winds and rolls beginning in Lexington, KY and it is a lot more pleasant than the incredibly straight, boring, and congested trip that is I-70. I live in DC, and thats the route I took last time I went to Denver and back. You won't regret the extra hour or so. I-70 makes me nod off!
