OT: Brazed weld question

I am restoring an old motorcycle (66 Bultaco Metralla) and need to repair the steel gas tank. This tank has sat exposed to the elements for years, has several dents and a heavy coating of rust inside.
After sandblasting the exterior, I can see that the filler neck, bottom panel seams and mounting points are attached with "smooth welds" that have a goldish color to them. I assume that this is due to a brass alloy that is a brazed weld of the fairly thick sheet steel panels that form the tank. It is clearly not a oxy/acet or electric arc weld fillet type seam.
My question is can these brazed areas be reheated so that the filler neck tube or bottom panel can be removed to allow me to clean the inside of the tank and deal with some dents, and then be rebrazed back together?
Research on the intertubes shows a brazed is done at about 800 degrees, which seems to be a low heat compared to everything else except soldering. I plan to have a pro deal with the brazing/welds, but do the repairs and paint myself. Any advice or recommendations on brazing?
Tanks in advance.
