Fully adhered with thousands of staples! The guy who installed the floor 25 years ago stapled the luan underlayment at what appeared to be 4-inches on center. We had the option of a floating or fully adhered installation when this work was done in 1994.
She discovered that by cutting the vinyl and scoring the luan with a Stanley knive - pressing hard, that the luan would snap on the score lines. Most of the pieces she pried off the floor and stacked neatly in the garage ranged from 3ft x 3ft to 2ft x 8ft. I snapped the longer ones into three pieces each this morning and we carted all the material to the Township Recycling / Bulk Waste center in her 9-3SC.
Yes; she guts grass, shovels snow, and uses the Sno-Blower when the white stuff is deep in the winter. I usually clear the drive before I leave for work in the am, but if her school is closed due to weather she will keep the drive clear during the day.
