You didn't say what car you have (other than 5 bolts) Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Tue, 1 Sep 2009 14:53:32 In Reply to: What to do if tire shop scratches wheel, OCM, Tue, 1 Sep 2009 14:17:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If it has a solid rear axle (NG900s have this and use 5-bolt wheels) and they jacked it in the middle, it is very possibly bent - doesn't matter how long this took, it's done. If they jacked it near the end of the axle, you may be OK. The real jacking point is about a foot in front of this.
My local NTB gouged the face of my Aero wheel fixing a flat, not just a small scratch, and were quite rude about it. I haven't been back, even though they are across the street from my office. I have purchsed at least three complete sets of tires for my cars since this episode; I voted with my wallet.
