Other end of life, but I found a dead squirrel. I couldn't figure out how it got there. It seems to have either slipped out a tree trying to jump to a lower tree or had some sort of heart attack. It is more common to find baby birds that drop trying to fly, but this was a fully grown squirrel upside down on its back. He was reasonably heavy.
All in all, it makes one wonder where all these rodents come from and go to in an urban setting.
