On nice open, rolling hill, freeway, I recently and made a power pass to get in front of the slower cars. Went from 65 to over 100, floored in my V6T 9-3 vert then back down to 75-80 cruising speed.

This caught the eye of a fellow in an AMG Mercedes convertible who passed in similar fashion and then pulled up behind me. Another pass around slower traffic brought us from 75 to about 115 then back to 80.

One last time we went around traffic, this time he lead and I tried to keep up 75 to 120 or so then back down to 80--he was way faster. I got on my phone and lost track of the AMG Merc.

At a gas station about 15 minutes down the road, I ran into the Merc again. The driver came over and asked me how a 4 cylinder turbo could go so fast. I told him about the V6 and I payed respect to his superior ride. But he was friendly and went on to tell me he has a Saab in the early 80's and it s still one of his favorite cars ever.

He looked over the interior of my car closely and I put down the top at his request.

His parting shot was his wife wanted a new car and he would be looking at the AERO Saab vert. Not bad advertising from my power driving!

BTW: I offered to trade him cars and he said "sure for a day" and actually gave me his business card. I think he was serious but won't bother him.
