Car got egged

My buddy has a car that got egged while he was driving and it ate through the paint and started to lighten up the paint where the egg was when he cleaned it off. Anyone know if there is a wax or something that can be used to cover this up? I am pretty sure he wants to avoid painting the thing since he just had it done this past summer. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
