This is the first evidence I have seen that GM is serious about selling SAAB. I think the improving economy is also bringing more bidders out of the woodwork. I think SAAB management are showing the 9-5 all over Sweden specifically to increase interest in SAAB and it is working. The 9-5 could be the car that saved SAAB.. lets hope so. At the very least it poses an excellent set of questions. 1) How many companies are capable of making a car as nice or nicer then the new 9-5? I can think of only a few. BMW, AUDI, Mercedes, Toyota, Nissan, Volvo, Hyundai...2)if only 6 or 7 companies in the WORLD are capable of such a great product... why on EARTH would SAAB be allowed to die and waste such a rare and precious capability? I also suspect GM knows BAIC will swoop in and hire all the SAAB talent if SAAB folds..
