One simple reason why SAAB won't be sold by GM

GM doesn't want to sell SAAB. As has been mentioned on here, GM wants to take the IP, and is afraid of what somebody else could do with it. GM has very probably been the worst run large company in America for two decades, and they're not going to save themselves now. They are still doing the same stupid stuff they have been doing for years (run by bean counters, with a very cynical estimation of the intellect of the most car buyers). I've said it before and I'll say it again; within 10 years, GM will be rationalized down to two brands, Chevy and Cadillac, and they will again tell us that's all we need, and this will save the world. I don't know what it takes to get to "lead" GM, or any of a number of companies, but gross stupidity is definitely a prerequisite. When Fritz Henderson was ousted, it was said the board pushed him out because he wanted to shut SAAB... I honestly believe he didn't want to shut SAAB, and that's exactly why he was ousted. When GM shuts SAAB, they will spin out some line that, if Henderson hadn't done so much damage it could have been saved. I bet there will be a Henderson book with the truth in a few years.
