My Mom passed several years ago after a long battle with lung cancer. Although I don't know you or your mom, I am sure that she appreciated you making the journey recently to be there with her.

As my mom used to say, "no matter how old you are, you'll still be my baby". I'm sure your mom felt the same.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
