My V70 awd is still going strong at 165k. The rear diff only has a 1qt supply of fluid and needs to be watched closely. Any sign of a leak and there could be trouble. Uneven tire wear or mismatched tires will cause problems on this unit.
It would be well worth having it checked out with those miles. Otherwise a very straight forward car. There are good ones and bad ones. I have had good luck with Saab and Volvo, and my current V70 XC has been a great runner. Just replaced the timing belt myself and it was very straight forward. These need to be changed every 70k, or the idler/tensioner pulley's may fail, shredding the belt, and crashing the pistons/valves.
As with all high mile cars, check them out...engine, tranny, diff etc. I have heard horror stories as well.
