If you scroll down on the page, you can look at the raw data from the sensor (almost - after the conversion from pressure to water depth). There are some interesting trends that can be seen.

It looks like the "normal" frequency of measurements is every 15 minutes, but on 2010-02-27 at 06:00 GMT, that increases to every 1 minute. All of a sudden we start getting some random outliers, both high and low. At 12:45 the 1-minute measurements cease and it goes back to 15 minutes, and guess what, the outlying data points go away. On 2010-02-28 at 05:05, it is taking measurements every 15 seconds, but the outliers only happen exactly on the minute.

There is a column labeled 'T' in the data that denotes the frequency of measurement (1 = 15 minutes, 2 = 1 minute, 3 = 15 seconds). This is also reflected in the graph above. It quickly becomes clear that all of the bad data points are in the #2 (1-minute) series. Given that there are some duplicate data points where the intervals overlap, my guess is that there are separate sensor channels for each interval, and that the 1-minute channel is faulty.

By the way, starting on 2010-02-28 at 09:00 and lasting for several hours, the readings come in low ONLY on the :01, :04, and :07 minutes of each hour. Somehow that doesn't look like a natural phenomenon to me... :)
